Perversion

Substituting one alloy for another may be the only viable solution to a specific corrosion problem. However, caution should be exercised this is especially true in a cooling water environment containing deposits. Concentration cell corrosion is insidious. Corrosion-resistant materials in oxidizing environments such as stainless steels can be severely pitted when surfaces are shielded by deposits. Each deposit is unique, and nature can be perverse. Thus, replacement materials ideally should be tested in the specific service environment before substitution is accepted. 

Of course, most of what I have said so far is well known. Nevertheless, I hope to have given these issues a new perspective by adopting an almost perversely rigorous approach in demanding that every aspect of electronic configurations should be strictly deducible from quantum mechanics. Although I am not in a position to propose a better explanation, I do not think that we should be complacent about what the present explanation achieves. As I have tried to argue, in terms of deduction from theoretical principles, the present semi-empirical explanation is not fully adequate. 

In a similar way, my question in this article will be to be to ask to what extent the periodic table of the elements can be explained strictly from first principles of quantum mechanics without assuming any experimental data whatsoever. I suspect that some readers and fellow contributors to this volume might well experience some irritation at the almost perverse demands which I will make on what should be derivable from the current theory. If so, then I apologize in advance. 

This is why I and some others have been agitating about the recent reports, starting in Nature magazine in September 1999, that atomic orbitals had been directly observed. This is simply impossible unless one is using the word "orbital" rather perversely to mean charge density (Scerri, 2000).

However, if the polymer in solution is polydisperse, generally similar, but more vaguely defined, regions of phase separation occur. These are known as "cloud-point" curves. The term "cloud point" results from the visual observation of phase separation - a cloudiness in the mixture. 

The final choice will have to be made during method development and/or analysis of the real samples, e.g. one of the ions selected may provide superb data from standard solutions but show a high matrix background on all or, perversely, on only a small number of samples, which will preclude its/their use. 

The number of detailed studies on these last systems is nowadays sufficiently large to generalize the results, and to project the conclusion to more complex (o "perverse" according to Coulson) systems. The traditional view of a reaction occurring on a well defined surface, with a flux of representative points passing the transition state region is unteiiable. The separation between static and dynamic aspects of a problem, so often exploited for studies an isolated molecule must be reconsidered.

During a 1993 interview with Russbacher in a Missouri prison, we got on the subject of the perverse habits of those in powerful places. Russbacher launched into a quick summary of Operation Clydesdale, which he claimed was done out of Arnold, Missouri. The purpose was to ferret out wealthy pedophile types who were engaged in kiddie snuff pornography. A toll free phone number was distributed in all the right places to lure out those who enjoy either viewing, recruiting or using children in what must be labeled as one of the most horrific acts one human can do to another. 

The goal of this operation was to get the location of those needing this perverse fix and do, what Russbacher called, "a field resolution" on them. Russbacher claimed that his team was involved in 400 such resolutions, and that the international network base of this organized pedophile group was around 10,000. As the operation drew closer to high level government types around the world, it was shut down. 

However, it must be stressed that pharmaceutical expenditure is just another input in health production policies, and its complementariness or substitutability with other inputs, and cross-effects in general, make it necessary to take an overall approach to ary rationalization process. In pharmaceutical policy in particular, it is impossible to ignore the deficits caused by distribution costs, the absence of real competition in the dispensing market and the perverse effects of the present system of remuneration for pharmacists. 

It is very important to pay attention to the details of how the system is applied in order to be able to predict the impact of RP implementation. Adverse effects include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, and taste perversion. It also a has the potential for dependence and addiction.
