Field resolution

Main system parameters are shown in table 1. The fine field resolution is important. When operating in an unshielded space, however, at least such important is the high common mode rejection and the gradient rejection in order to suppress parasitic magnetic fields. [Pg.989]

The goal of this operation was to get the location of those needing this perverse fix and do, what Russbacher called, "a field resolution" on them. Russbacher claimed that his team was involved in 400 such resolutions, and that the international network base of this organized pedophile group was around 10,000. As the operation drew closer to high level government types around the world, it was shut down. [Pg.17]

The advantages of the scanning microscope as compared with conventional optical microscopes include superior resolution and depth of field. Resolution of 200 A is obtained with a depth of field several hundred times dial of a conventional optical microscope. The scanning microscope also makes possible the display of other kinds of data obtained from the specimen. notably cathodoluminescent photons emitted by fluorescing samples. [Pg.552]

Capillary zone electrophoresis is another technique which has been used to separate products such as organic acids.26 Separation is based on differences in the mobility of analytes exposed to an electric field. Resolution and separation time in such systems depends on factors including electroosmotic flow (EOF), and a number of approaches for adjusting the EOF have been examined. While some of the approaches (pretreatment of capillaries) are not useful as means of process control, adjusting buffer pH and the electric field27 seem to be possible handles for true feedback control of the separation, although closed-loop operation does not seem to have been attempted. [Pg.663]

NOISE CONTROL. The design engineer should include noise studies in the design stage of any industrial facility. Generally, acoustical problems left for field resolution cost roughly twice as much. Unnecessary costs incurred in post-construction noise work may include the replacement of insulation, re-... [Pg.90]

To end this section, we mention that the narrow ESR line, its anisotropic and field-independent g-factor, and the excellent chemical stability of highly-purified (Fa)2PF6 crystals can be used for very precise magnetic field measurements as well as for the stabilisation of ESR spectrometers [38]. For magnetic-field measurements, in a range between the terrestrial magnetic field and several Tesla, a field resolution of at least 10" Tesla was achieved. For the stabilisation of the field/frequency ratio BqIvesr, a stability of 10" was obtained [34]. [Pg.343]

In the standard TLS model, their spatial distribution is random. In real samples, TLS s might be more concentrated around defects or particularly disordered regions of the sample. Microscopy of single molecules, especially with near-field resolution might help correlate TLS s with defects or structures in the sample. In samples with artificial structures, the influence of external parameters on spectral jumps and TLS s could be studied. [Pg.139]

Problem 9.2. In a SNOM with a metal-coated fiber, what limits the minimum size of the aperture and thus the near-field resolution ... [Pg.236]
