Periodic process engineering services

Since 2003, I ve been providing periodic process engineering services to a refinery in Lithuania. One evening after work, I was walking past the local village liquor store. Displayed in the window. 

IR monitoring of oxidation process. Monitoring lubricants by infrared spectroscopy is a well established technique. The infrared spectra of oxidized (used) engine oil samples can be split into three parts (a) above 1900 cm 1, (b) 1900 to 1500 cm 1, and (c) below 1500 cm"1. The spectral changes in the region between 1900 to 1500 cm 1 in commercial automotive oils (SAE 10W/40, API service SE) operated in a Toyota 20R engine over a 8000 km period were evaluated (Coates and Setti, 1984). Major absorptions bands (1900 to 1500 cm 1) of the spectra are [cm 1] 1732 (oxidation, carbonyl esters), 1710 (oxidation, carbonyl ketones/acids), 1629 (nitrate esters), 1605 (carboxylates) of used oils. 

Environment Department. This group considered all future engineering work at a series of intensive sessions spanning a four-month period, with the objective of identifying future resource needs. The overall process was heavily scrutinized by the licensees internal safety organizations (the Health, Safety and Environment Divisions), to ensure that any proposed changes presented no risk to safety-related support services or key work teams. 

Ten years ago, 1 wrote the first edition to this book. For the past seven years, I have operated my refinery troubleshooting business. During this period I have worked through enough process operating problems and equipment design errors to fill a dozen volumes. Much of my business continues to be conducted with the 15 or so major refiners in the United States and Canada. The tech service engineers employed by my clients, who work with me on these jobs, always ask what special techniques I employ to solve these problems. The procedure I use is the same one I used 10 years ago ... 

To implement expert system in the area of maintenance management decision process performance, there were collected data about rail buses and trams operational processes performance. In the case of rail carriers, the period of research analysis encompasses 43 months (152 568 working hours), from December 2008 to June 2012. The operational data are taken from their operational books which are prepared by department of tram maintenance employees. These operational books are located in every rail buses, and are filled in by engine drivers, warehousemen, and service engineers.
