Performance Assessment Scoring Scheme

According to Mr. Yung, a senior quantity surveyor of a government department, the PASS used in the Housing Authority consists of two scores a project score and a contractor score. The project score reflects the performance of the contractor on a particular project during the construction stage and maintenance period. The project score includes  [Pg.60]

a quarterly project score during the construction stage (QPSc)  [Pg.60]

a quarterly score during the maintenance stage (QPSm). [Pg.60]

The authors also evaluated the performance of various DES-T and DES cutoffs for detecting taxon members defined by Bayesian probabilities. Waller and Ross found that DES-T cutoffs work much better than the cutoffs on the DES because they have higher sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values. One could say that the authors stacked the deck in favor of the DES-T, as the Bayesian probabilities and DES-T scores are based on the same data. However, this redundancy is unavoidable, since there is no other method of assessing taxon membership. It is important to evaluate the qualities of DES-T cutoffs for studies that will use the DES-T, rather than the Bayesian scoring scheme. [Pg.130]

As with report formats, performance assessments may be idiosyncratic to a scheme but some consistency in approach has been recommended in ISO 43 1997, which recommends use of the z-score, which is... [Pg.4087]

Participance in Proficiency Testing Schemes Proficiency testing (PT) is the periodic assessment of the competency or the analytical performance of individual participating laboratories [23]. An independent coordinator distributes individual test portions of a typical uniform test material. The participating laboratories analyze the materials by their method of choice and return the results to the coordinator. Test results obtained by different laboratories are subsequently compared with each other and the performance of each participant evaluated based on a single competency score [64,107]. International harmonized protocols exist for the organization of PT schemes [59,60,64,69,79]. [Pg.780]

Laboratories are assessed on the accuracy of their results, i.e., the difference between the laboratory result and the nominally true value. Different performance scores are employed, e.g., Z scores, relative mean square errors, intercepts, proportional errors, Youden plots, and so forth depending on the proficiency testing scheme. [Pg.59]
