In another report, binding of IgG to anti-IgG immobilized on a Au-coated BK7 chip (sealed by PDMS) was detected by SPR [741]. Lactate was also determined using the SPR method. First, lactate was oxidized by LOX immobilized on an osmium redox polymer to produce H202. This molecule was then reduced by HRP immobilized in the same redox polymer. This surface reaction was detected by SPR [741]. 

The first dual-electrode amperometric detection was achieved on a PDMS-glass device. An analyte was oxidized at the first electrode, and was then reduced at the second electrode. Other biomolecules that are of interest in p.CP are lipids and lipid bilayers. Supported lipid bilayers are very fragile assemblies that are formed by lipids that are organized into two opposing leaflets on hydrophilic surfaces, such as glass or mica substrates. These structures can be also patterned on solid substrates but the p.CP technique differs slightly from the ones that were applied for proteins or DNA. First, the bilayer has to be formed on the oxidized PDMS stamp from the buffer solution by lipid vesicle fusion. Second, printing has to be carried out in water, otherwise the bilayer will lose its structure.99 This method allows efficient and reliable transfer of membrane patches to glass surfaces. 

Polymers and copolymers were laboratory-prepared samples. Samples W4 and W7 of the diblock copolymer AB poly(styrene-fo-tetramethylene oxide) (PS—PT) were synthesized by producing a polystyrene prepolymer whose terminal group was transformed to a macroinitiator for the polymerization of THF. Samples B13 and B16 of the diblock copolymer AB poly[styrene-h-(dimethyl siloxane)] (PS-PDMS) were prepared by sequential anionic polymerization. Samples of statistical copolymers of styrene and n-butyl methacrylate (PSBMA) were produced by radical copolymerization. Details of synthetic and characterization methods have been reported elsewhere (15, 17-19).
