Pathogenic agent

Germicide destroys microorganisms, with emphasis on pathogenic agents, called germs. It maybe a disinfectant or an antiseptic. It does not claim to be a sporicide. 

Plants are constantly subject to adverse environmental conditions such as drought, flooding, extreme temperatures, excessive salts, heavy metals, high-intensity irradiation and infection by pathogenic agents. Because of their immobility, plants have to make necessary metabolic and structural adjustments to cope with the stress conditions. To this end, the expression of the genetic programme in plants is altered by the stress stimuli to induce and/or suppress the production of specific proteins which are either structural proteins or enzymes for specific metabolic pathways. 

The complete four-component system is necessary when the diagnostic requirement is rapid, low unit-cost analysis for both the strain-level characterization of pathogenic agents and identification of hoax bio-terror materials. Using the complete system, we are proposing to validate MS-based microbial taxonomy and to transfer the technology from an analytical research to a clinical or public health production-diagnosis environment. 

Genetic variation of pathogenic agents in microorganism-caused disorders can be an additional source of individual drug sensibility. Since this article only focuses on human polymorphisms, we will illustrate this concept with one example.
