Packaging Sources

Food packaging materials are frequent contributors to taints found in food products [31]. Virtually the only food packaging material that will not potentially contribute a taint to foods is glass. Since food is not sold in glass ampoules (i.e., sealed entirely

A variety of printing processes and thus, materials are used to print food packages. One printing system, litho printing, uses a petroleum-based solvent system to carry the inks (resins).
