Data related to the piperidino-dechlorination of o- and p-nitrobenzene derivatives appear in refs. 67 and 68 for the reactions in non-polar solvents and in refs. 69 and 70 for the reactions in alcohols. 

This starting material can be prepared as follows, 123 parts of finely powdered 6-amino-2,4-dimethylpyrimidine are suspended in 250 parts of dry pyridine and 222 parts of p-nitroben-zenesulfonyl chloride added at 50°C to 55°C. The whole is then warmed for 2 hours to 55°C, Water is added to the crystalline aggregate obtained, the precipitated bis-N-(p-nitrobenzene-sulfonyl)-6-amino-2,4-dimethylpyrimidine filtered off by suction and washed with water. It is purified by recrystallizing from methyl ethyl ketone. On slowly heating it decomposes on rapidly heating it melts at about 210°C to 215°C with decomposition. 

Can be prepd by the nitration of 1-phenyltetrazole with fuming nitric acid, or by heating sym diformyl-hydrazine, OHC.HN.NH.CHO, and p-nitrobenzene-diazonium chloride, 02N.C6H4.N2C1, with dil Na hydroxide soln. Up to now this possibility was applied for the preparation of a-ketosulphoxides. Chlorpromazine and other phenothiazines can be identified by their reactions with benzene-, toluene-o-, and toluene /j-stilbinic acids, and with p-hydroxy-, m-nitro-, w-amino-, and p-nitrobenzene stilbinic acids in an HCl medium. The first measurement of clay acidity was reported by Walling (72), who found that an acid-washed bentonite clay of the montmorillonite group imparted the acid color to p-nitrobenzene-azo(p -nitro) diphenyla-mine, which has a pKa of 0.43. At least part of this acidity, however, was thought to result from residual acid from the acid wash. 

An X-ray crystal structure analysis of fraws-4-trimethylsilylcyclohexyl p-nitrobenzene sulphonate 67 reveals an elongated C(alkyl)-0(ester) bond, compared to the non-silicon substituted derivative61.
