The difference in the behavior of hemoglobins may be shown graphically in another way by plotting percent saturation with oxygen against p02, as is shown in Figure 7.6b. Mathematically, this plot may be represented by the equation...

Commercial grades of HR (butyl rubber) are prepared by copolymerising small amounts of isoprene with polyisobutylene. The isoprene content of the copolymer is normally quoted as the mole percent unsaturation , and it influences the rate of cure with sulphur, and the resistance of the copolymer to attack by oxygen, ozone and UV light. The polyisobutylene, being saturated, however, naturally confers on the polymer an increased level of resistance to these agencies when compared to natural rubber. Commercial butyl rubbers typically contain 0.5-3.0% mole unsaturation. 

Water Dew Point For flue gas, the water dew point is that temperature at which the actual water vapor pressure equals the water saturation vapor pressure. Cooling the flue gas below this temperature will result in the formation of liquid water [or ice, below 273 K (0°C)]. For example, burning natural gas with 3 percent excess oxygen (15 percent excess air), the flue gas water dew point would be (Fig. 24-57) 330K(56.7°C). 

They have all the rubberiness of the ethylene/propylene (EPR) rubber matrix, and the crystalline polypropylene (PP) domains hold them together. As saturated elastomers, they have natural resistance to oxygen and ozone aging. They are the second largest class of thermoplastic elastomers, 25 percent of the total market, used mainly in mechanical rubber parts.
