Operating microscope

Surgery with the use of an operating microscope (sometimes called microsurgery) has become common in nearly all surgical fields, but it is vital for performing many brain, eye, and ear surgeries.

The fixation of infusion catheter was performed on the microsurgical method with the use of vascular micro-instrumentation (microhemoclips, infusion Polymeric catheter with inner diameter of 0.4 mm and external diameter of 0.6 mm with canula of LITER type and also PORTEX catheter (USA) with inner diameter of 0.5 mm and external diameter of 0.8 mm with canula of RECORD type. The operations were performed under OPTON operation microscope (Germany). 

An illustrated description of those anatomical features of special importance to surgical dissection in this area is incorporated within the account of operative technique for amygdalo-hippocampfectomy. The description is based not only upon the operative experience of the senior author (MGY) but also upon cadaver dissections carried out by the authors using the operating microscope.
