Nuclear extract overview

Manchanda, V.K., Pathak, P.N. 2004, Amides and diamides as promising extractants in the back end of the nuclear fuel cycle an overview. Sep. Purif. Technol. 35 85-103. [Pg.505]

In this chapter, Section 10.2 gives an overview of the operation of the Argonne centrifugal contactor. Section 10.3 focuses on the design principles for this contactor. Section 10.4 discusses the worldwide applications of this contactor to solvent-extraction processes of interest to the nuclear and other industries. Comparisons with other types of contactors are made throughout the text, and a separate section is devoted to them in Section 10.4. However, because of their widespread use and the author s particular experience with them, the ANL contactor and its variations remain the primary focus. [Pg.565]

This article treats the benefits, possibilities and drawbacks of supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) coupled to nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. After a general overview and consideration of the motivation for such techniques, the design of high-pressure flow probes, as well as the principle experimental set-ups, are described. By means of several applications and comparison to HPLC-NMR, the utility of these hyphenated techniques is demonstrated. [Pg.195]

Restoring the dipolar coupling between both hetero-nuclear and homonuclear spin pairs is of great interest. Rotational resonance applies strictly to homonuclear spin pairs, and Table 1 provides a brief overview of some of the other techniques available for recovering the dipolar coupling and extracting R ff for homonuclear spin pair from high-resolution MAS spectra. [Pg.978]
