A nonprofit, nonpartisan professional organization that provides training, information, and networking opportunities to environmental professionals in 65 countries. 

As previously stated, the American Chemistry Council also recognizes this concept as an integral part of the code of Responsible Care , Process Safety Code of Management Practices, Companies should openly share nonproprietary results from internal process safety incident investigations and related research through the auspices of trade and professional associations, and other networking opportunities. Other organizations should strive to benefit from the lessons learned by others and keep abreast of latest developments and safety alerts. 

Networking opportunities abound in membership-based organizations. Membership databases are often available to members. Social and education events provide colleagues the opportunity to discuss and share ideas. Many pharmacy professionals who have achieved significant accomplishments in their careers are active members of an association. This active involvement benefits them in reaching their goals, and it continues to benefit other members who can learn from them. 

ASHP s Center on Managed Care Pharmacy monitors, analyzes, and reports on trends in managed care pharmacy, creates specialized programming at ASHP s national meetings, conducts conferences and workshops, conducts surveys, monitors and influences quality-related measures, and coordinates networking opportunities. 

Another networking opportunity is the University of Wisconsin-Madison-sponsored Pharmacy Invitational Conference on Anticoagulation Therapy. This conference is held yearly, immediately preceding the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting in December. This event includes a full day of anticoagulation topics and qualifies for continuing education credit.

The Section of Clinical Specialists of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists - provides networking opportunities for ASHP members who practice or conduct clinical research in oncology pharmacy practice.
