Nelson, John

We would like to acknowledge the experimental and intellectual contributions of our co-workers in the catalysis subgroup. In particular, we would like to highlight the seminal contributions of our former colleagues Lawrence J. Kennedy, Kristofer K. Moffett, Jade D. Nelson, John E. Robinson, and Daisuke Uraguchi. We sincerely... [Pg.211]

Our research on CO activation is supported by the NSF. In addition to members of my group and colleagues who are mentioned in the text, I appreciate the contributions of former co-workers Dr. Hamdallah Hodali, who discovered the O-protonation of CO, and Dr. Norvell Nelson who discovered the Lewis acid attack of CO. Work on the proton induced reduction of CO has been aided by the exchange of information on iron butterfly compounds with Professor Earl Mutterties, Dr. John Bradly and Dr. Jack Williams. [Pg.24]

Nelson We have the phospholamban knockout mouse model, and John Lederer was able to peel out a component of the decay that was due to reuptake. We didn t see any difference between the control and the knockouts. Presumably it is happening, but we couldn t see any difference in the decay in the phospholamban knockouts, as was seen in heart muscle, nor could we see any effect of lanthanum or zero Na+. Examining the decay of the spark would be a good indicator of local Ca2+ removal, though. It would also be worth examining the decay of the BK current. [Pg.46]

We wish to thank Drs W. Taylor (CSIRO) and T. Nelson (Yale) for providing MOD and MDH gene probes. Supported by USDA-CRGP (Environmental Stress Program), USDA-CRSR (SW Consortium on Plant Genetics) and, in part, the National Science Foundation. We are indebted to Dr John L. Wray for suggestions that improved the manuscript. [Pg.131]
