Nausea neuralgia

Exposure of humans to dichloroacetylene in a variety of settings has caused headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, eye irritation, mucous membrane irritation, and neurological disorders, manifested as paresis and neuralgia in several cranial and cervical nerves. " In some cases the cranial nerve involvement persisted for several days to years. Extreme nausea occurred among individuals exposed to levels as low as 0.5-1.0ppm. In an early report two deaths occurred several days after dichloroacetylene exposure autopsy revealed cerebral edema.

In a randomized, double-bUnd, crossover study, previous findings on the adverse effects of oxycodone among sufferers of postherpetic neuralgia were confirmed (4). Oxycodone was analgesic in this group, although 76% of the sample reported adverse effects compared with 49% of the placebo group. Constipation, nausea, and sedation were the most frequently reported adverse effects.

In 236 patients taking OxyContin for moderate to severe postherpetic neuralgia adverse effects abated with time on treatment they included nausea (18%), constipation (10%), dizziness (10%), and somnolence (5.1%) [133 ].

Conditions for which it is used include flatulence, spasms, colic, giddiness, nervous headache, migraine, toothache, sprains, neuralgia, rheumatism, acne, pimples, sores, nausea, vomiting, and others, usually in the form of an infusion, a decoction, or the oil, both internally and externally.
