Multi-national organizations

Standards or specifications issued by individual companies are not considered to be of national status, however large or multi-national the concern might be. Specifications issued by local authorities and nationalised industries would be in the same bracket. Organizations such as Rapra Technology (The Rubber and Plastics Research Association), The British Rubber Manufacturers Association, the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining do not issue standards. 

The FEBEX in situ test has been conducted as a multi-national project coordinated by the Spanish organization ENRESA. In essence, the experiment involves the installation of two cylindrical heaters (4.54 m long and 0.97 m in diameter) centered in a tunnel (diameter 2.27 m) and surrounded by a barrier (thickness 0.64 m) made of highly compacted unsaturated blocks of bentonite (Figure 1). The tunnel is located in a mountainous area of massive saturated granite about 420 m below ground surface. 

Most multi-national corporations, including British Petroleum and ICI are now organized into a variety of divisional structures. In such a structure, the company as a whole may be split into several distinct divisions. Each distinct product line or business unit is placed in its own self-contained unit or division, with all support functions. The result is a higher level of horizontal differentiation. 

It is evident that e-supply chain strategy will be mostly drivai and financed by large multi-site and multi-national companies. Only partial benefits will be achieved if the e-supply chain initiatives of larger companies focus solely for their own operations and sites and do not include the key suppliers. Proactive policy should be in place in larger organizations to involve and train key partners in the development and implementation of an e-supply chain network. 

For nearly a century, epinephrine (adrenaline) has been the cornerstone of the acute management of anaphylaxis [1-6], a sudden-onset multi-systemic allergic reaction that can cause death. The World Health Organization lists epinephrine as an essential medication for anaphylaxis [7], Where national guidelines are available for the acute management of anaphylaxis, they universally recommend injection of epinephrine as the initial medication of choice [8]. 

All phases of a multi-site regulatory study should be carried out in facilities that are members of the UK or a relevant national GLP compliance program. Pre-study test site inspections may be conducted if considered necessary. If an organization is considering using a particular test site, a copy of the test facility s current GLP certificate should be obtained and included in the QA multi-site file. 

Conostan S-21 Blended Standards (100 ppm organic multi element standard in oil) was used in this work (ConocoPhillips, Houston, TX) for the samples calibration. Method validation was completed with three Standard Reference Materials (SRM) from NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD) 1085b, 1084a lubricating oils, and 1634c (residual fuel oil).
