RSDL. In 1995, the Canadian Defense Research Establishment at Ottawa and Suffield developed and patented a liquid skin decontaminant for CWA exposure named RSDL. RSDL is a formulation of potassium 2,3-butanedione monoxime (as free oxime and potassium salt) in a solvent of polyethylene glycol monomethylether (MPEG) of 550 nominal molecular weight with 10% w/w water (pH 10.6) (Sabourin et al., 2001 Bide et al., 2005 Material Data Safety Sheet, 2006). [Pg.618]

The present work is the next step where we have undertaken a systematic study of the perturbed BZ system with an alcoholic and a nonalcoholic polymer, namely polyethylene glycol with different molecular weights and polyethyleneglycol dimethyletiier (MPEG), respectively. The dynamical behaviour of the BZ system has been monitored by means of CO2 evolution rate and spectrophotometric measurements. Moreover, for the sake of comparison we have also performed spectrophotometric measurements in the presence of etiiylene glycol. [Pg.293]

Pol3rmers (PE and PS) were used for modification in Ar+ plasma discharge on a Balzers SCD 050 device. Immediately after the plasma treatment, plasma activated polymers were grafted by immersion into an aqueous solution (24 hours, room temperature, 2 wt.%) of polyethylene glycol (PEG, molecular weights (Mpeg) 300, 6000 and 20 000 g/mol). [Pg.209]
