Modified chemistry

MD M28 rocket propellant and burster hydrolysates slurried with shredded and micronized dunnage that has had the hydrolyzed aluminum removed by filtration. These tests included the results of aluminum filtration tests. This test also demonstrated a modified chemistry for controlling solids transport through the reactor without the use of an additive that degrades the titanium reactor material. 

Several of the above approaches have proved appropriate for the preparation of alkylated derivatives whilst related but somewhat modified chemistry is required for other substituted compounds routes depicted in Scheme 24 are examples of methods for the preparation of alkoxy derivatives (47JA2449). Compounds such as 2-hydroxyketones and 2-mercap-toketones dimerize reversibly to give 2,5-dihydroxy derivatives of 1,4-dioxanes and 1,4-dithianes respectively (B-57MI22600, 66HC(21-2)104l). 

In this chapter the use of electric fields as a means to control, activate, or modify chemistry in microreactor systems, and in some cases also in downstream work-up microsystems, was discussed. From this brief survey it follows that the idea of technology as applied science in the case of the prime example, chemistry, has to be substantially modified. Chemistry as a science could not, at least in Sweden, do much for industry apart from analyse its products. Even if analysis was a difficult task itself, which needed knowledge, skill and experience, it did not aspire towards the more traditional task associated with science.

Glass-fiber grades with modified chemistries (such as PPG s TufRov 4576) allow higher composite properties—and thus potentially require lower amounts of coupling agent.

In addition of favorable size, CNTs have high aspect ratio, capsule like structure, easy penetration, easily modifiable chemistry at surface and excreted out of the body through urine. 

The inherently brittle nature of PLA [4] also poses challenges to post processing and for the performance of the finished article. The addition of additives to mitigate the brittie nature are important for controlling this property as well. In addition, a range of modifier chemistries will be necessary depending on the level of transparency desired in the finished article.
