Higher composition

Ultimately, we should be concerned with the strategies to optimize electrochemical parameters by materials research. The most momentous strategy is to seek new phases (new structures and compounds) and, indeed, many simple phases have already been explored. Yet, examining any higher compositional complexity increases the possibility that the new phases are chemically unstable when in contact with neighboring phases, and that is why the modification of given phases is of key significance. 

The variation in the extrapolated values for the Tg of poly (VEC) is primarily due to the fact that we have conducted experiments only in the lower compositional range of VEC (<50 %). There are numerous examples in the literature of copolymer systems that have linear Tg-composition relationships in a lower composition range, but deviate significantly at higher compositions [13J4J5], Additional experiments... 

Glass-fiber grades with modified chemistries (such as PPG s TufRov 4576) allow higher composite properties—and thus potentially require lower amounts of coupling agent. 

It was reported that siloxanes containing up to 20 % spiropyran groups are liquid crystalline. At higher compositions they are amorphous. With increased spiropyran content, the selective reflection band characteristic of cholesteric mesophases shifts to lower wavelength ... 

Raman In-phase phonon Irequency two-phase regions. The ideal stoichiometry of the 8flo lies with 6.875 inside this range. In case of actual superstructures this would mean disorder vacancies in the chains shifting the appearance of the superstructures at higher compositions (sect. 5.1.1). From the sequence, it could be a miscibility gap 5ao-l-8ao (fig. 111). 

Elastic neutron scattering studies by Bartscher et al. (1985) on the compositions D/Pu = 2.25, 2.33 and 2.65 show an apparent progressive depletion of t-sites (as compared to PuD ) at the higher compositions. A displacement of octahedral deuteriums by 0.4 A in the 111 direction is in agreement with observations noted...
