Ovarian adenocarcinoma, Breast carcinoma, Hodyhin s disease, non-Hodgkin s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemia (acute lymphoblastic, acute myelogenous, acute monocytic, chronic granulocytic, chronic lymphocytic), mycosis fungoides, disseminated neuroblastoma, retinoblastoma PO 1-5 mg/kg/day. IV 40-50 mg/kg in divided doses over 2-5 days or 10-15 mg/kg every 7-10 days or 3-5 mg/kg twice a week. Biopsy-proven minimal-change nephrotic syndrome PO 2 5-3 mg/kg/day for 60-90 days. [Pg.314]

In 54 patients, a kidney biopsy was performed 13.2 8.9 days after onset (n = 32). In all patients, the findings suggested either acute tubular necrosis or its recovery phase. The underlying diseases included kidney diseases such as IgA nephropathy [138], minimal change nephrotic syndrome [139], autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) [140], and cystinuria [67]. [Pg.55]

A 57-year-old woman developed severe nephrotic syndrome after 3 months of interferon alfa re-treatment, and renal biopsy showed minimal change nephrotic syndrome with T cell-predominant interstitial nephritis (265). Proteinuria persisted despite interferon alfa withdrawal and resolved only after glucocorticoid treatment. [Pg.1809]

Proteinuria with minimal-change nephrotic syndrome on renal biopsy has been attributed to interferon beta in a 64-year-old man with malignant melanoma (45). Although the proteinuria abated after withdrawal, the potential role of previous chemotherapy cannot be excluded. [Pg.1834]
