Many publishers make available their databases on floppy disks or CD-ROMs, which are often found inside the back cover of the book. Physical Properties. Almost all liquid diacyl peroxides (16) and concentrated solutions of the solid compounds are unstable to normal ambient temperature, storage many must be stored well below 0 C. Laboratory measurements are made for a variety of reasons. Traditional physical constants , i.e., melting point, boiling point, density, index of refraction, have long been measured in the course of synthesizing a new substance as a means of characterizing the identity of the compound.
