Medium range compressor efficiency (higher than centrifugal lower than low-speed). [Pg.259]

Large TSK-GEL Super SW3000, TSK-GEL G3000SWxl or SW, TSK-GEL G2000SWxl or SW TSK-GEL G3000PWxl Small to medium range pore size, versatile... [Pg.132]

Ethylene oxide adducts of alkanephosphonic acids exhibit a better solubility in water and partly an interesting depression of the surface tension in aqueous solutions (Table 9). Although foamability and wetting rate lie in a medium range, they possess no emulsifying ability. [Pg.593]

HIPS in combination with stabilizers. Four basic types of HBCD are produced by all the HBCD producers, i.e. low melt, medium range, high melt and thermal stabilized HBCD. Analysis of the HBCD manufactured by several producers in given in Table 1 (ref. 3). The melting point of HBCD varies with changes in isomer ratio and composition of impurities. [Pg.93]

Proton resonances for aU residues were assigned using a combination of COSY, TOCSY, HSQC, and HMBC experiments. The large values of y(NH/H-C(/9)) and the small values of J(H-C(a)/H-C(y9) were indicative of antiperiplanar and synclinal arrangements respectively, around those bonds. In addition, medium-range NOE connectivities H-C(/ )i/NH +i, H-C(a)i/NH, + i, NHi/NH +i were consistent... [Pg.73]

Eckert H,Elbers S,Epping JD, Janssen M, Kalwei M, StrojekW, Voigt U (2005) Dipolar Solid State NMR Approaches Towards Medium-Range Structure in Oxide Glasses. 246 195-233... [Pg.256]

An ASTM standard recommends the use of 0.005 normal calcium sulfate as the standard permeating water, because of its medium range electrolyte concentration. Calcium sulfate, with divalent calcium, will usually not reduce hydraulic conductivity. [Pg.1117]

Reported to ignite in air [1], This is typical of medium-range aldehydes, particularly if exposure is increased by sorption on paper or cloth, ignition often occurring within 2 hours [2],... [Pg.1197]

Lin, X., Floudas, C.A., Modi, S. and Juhasz, N.M. (2002) Continuous-time optimization approach for medium-range production scheduling of a multiproduct batch plant. Ind. Eng. Chem. Res., 41, 3884-3906. [Pg.183]

EXAFS information is restricted to the first or second coordination sphere around a central atom whereas WAXS (Wide-Angle X-ray Scattering) can yield information on short and medium range order up to 20 A. It has been applied, for instance, to the important polymeric chain ST material [Fe(Htrz)2trz](BF4) (Htrz= 1,2,4-triazole), in the LS and HS state and indicated the likely involvement of hydrogen bonding between the anion and the 4-H atom of the triazole ring [62]. [Pg.30]

Zimmerman and Scheraga, 1977a) can reproduce the observed distribution in most respects, in spite of omission of all long-range and medium-range interactions. [Pg.177]

PPE has medium moduli that involve medium strains for moderate loading. Consequently, creep moduli are also in a medium range at room temperature, as we can see in Figure 4.85(a). [Pg.468]

The mechanical properties are good with medium to low elongations at break and more limited strains at yield. Moduli and hardnesses are in a high range but notched impact strengths are in a medium range. Polyetherimide displays notch sensitivity and stress concentrators must be avoided when designing. [Pg.570]

Launching new polymers of medium-range performance is a difficult operation economically, as proved by the case of the aliphatic polyketones. New polymer families are rarely marketed but there are some examples where they provide improved processing performances, which is a particularly needed property to satisfy economic requirements. Modification of existing polymers is also an interesting route. Let us quote some examples ... [Pg.843]

Simulations relying on realistic medium-range interactions 305... [Pg.282]

Medium-range interactions can be defined as those which dominate the dynamics when atoms interact with energies within a few eV of their molecular binding energies. These forces determine a majority of the physical and chemical properties of surface reactions which are of interest, and so their incorporation in computer simulations can be very important. Unfortunately, they are usually many-body in nature, and can require complicated functional forms to be adequately represented. This means that severe approximations are often required when one is interested in performing molecular dynamics simulations. Recently, several potentials have been semi-empirically developed which have proven to be sufficiently simple to be useful in computer simulations while still capturing the essentials of chemical bonding. [Pg.288]
