Medical Records Review Epidemiologists from Texas Tech University and AFIERA reviewed the medical records of those enrolled in the study. The epidemiologists recorded health care events occurring during the year prior to the study period using broad disease categories. Associations between health care event frequency and JP8 exposure were tested using these data.

Annemie Vlayen has a background in rehabilitation sciences and healthcare and hospital management. She is a senior researcher in patient safety at Hasselt University, Belgium. In her PhD research she focused on medical record review, prospective risk analysis and safety culture in hospitals. Her research interests include approaches to improving safety culture, leadership and patient safety education. 

Bortezomib In a retrospective medical record review of six adults with relapsed multiple myeloma who received intravenous bortezomib + oral dexamethasone, three who also took itraconazole had new or worsening peripheral neuropathy and grade 4 thrombocytopenia [13 ]. One patient who took lansoprazole alone and two who did not take itraconazole or lansoprazole had no such reactions. The authors noted that itraconazole inhibits CYP3A4 and lansoprazole inhibits CYP2C19. 

Observational studies Adverse events during the administration of travoprost have been studied in 75 eyes of 57 children in a retrospective medical record review [43 ]. Eyelash thickening and elongation occurred in all 75 eyes, conjunctival injection in 13 (17%) ocular irritation in 4 (5%), and eyelid swelling and blurring of vision in one each. There was no iris heterochromia or periorbital skin pigmentation.
