Medical applications melt blowing

Biodegradable thermoplastics, like PHB and PLA, can be processed by conventional thermoplastic processing technologies, such as extrusion, injection molding, melt spinning, blowing film, and melt blown, for a wide range of application as enviromnentally friendly materials and for medical applications. 

Copolymers with 3-hydroxyvalerate (HV) with lower crystallinity and melting temperature as well as higher impact strength levels 5 % HV for relatively rigid injection-molded parts, 10 % HV for injection molding, extrusion, injection-blow molding of packaging material, 20 % HV for veterinary/medical applications with controlled active substance release. 

Lactic acid based polymers manufactured by melt processing are blow molded bottles, injection molded cups, spoons, and forks. Other applications include paper coatings, fibers, films, and various medical devices.
