Measurements definition

A very narrow 0 2p band is observed with earlier measurements (74) on partially oxidized Cs films, and the result has been discussed in terms of isolated ions incorporated into the films under a surface layer of metallic cesium. This interpretation is very near to reality. Unfortunately, these investigations have been performed with 10.2 eV excitation energy. So the core levels of Cs are not recorded but the measurements definitely refer to Cs suboxides. In this respect it is interesting that during the early stages of oxidation of K (75) and Sr (76, 77) very narrow 0 2p bands are observed, although bulk suboxides of these materials are not yet known. 

These calculations and measurements definitely showed that foam , brought about by the presence of surfactant dissolved in the discontinuous phase, showed a reduced mobility. Nevertheless, the tests raised more questions than they answered. Among these were questions about the effects on the mobility of the type and concentration of the surfactant, the flow rate, the flowing volumetric fraction of the C02, and the rock type and permeability.

The ERM is a step toward the goal of achieving an appKcation-independent approach to modeling any human-task interface. The assignment of bands given in Fig. 1 are confirmed by the laser Raman spectra [4]. The vibrations assigned to Ai species appear as the polarized Raman lines and those assigned to Bi and B2 species appear as the depolarized Raman lines. The results are just expected from the above assignments except some weak lines, for which the depolarisation ratio cannot be measured definitely.

DC and AC conductivity analysis on the Mg(II) and Pb(II) electrolytes were carried out using non-blocking (Mg or Pb) and blocking electrodes. The Mg(II) electrolytes showed no evidence of Mg(II) motion and appear to be virtually pure anion conductors. The Pb(II) electrolytes appeared to be good conductors of Pb(II) as well as halide ions. An initial estimate of the transport number of Pb(II) in PbBr. (PE0)2q is 0.6-0.7 at 140 C. We must caution that these transport number measurements are preliminary estimates. It is a major undertaking to measure definitive transport numbers, and that work is not yet begun.
