Making an application

After determining the eligibility of the operation, the interested party must request an application form from the certification body. The applicant completes and returns it to the certification body, where it is reviewed for completeness. [Pg.52]

As part of the application process, farmers and growers must provide a description of both their organic and non-organic units. This description should include land areas, storage areas, and any on-farm processing and packaging which may take place. Maps [Pg.52]

For operators that have already been certified, new applications do not have to be made annually for their existing enterprises. However, as new products, fields or animals are brought into the scheme, an application will have to be made. [Pg.53]

After the initial screening of a new application by the certification body, the inspection can take place. The regulation requires that inspections take place annually, though operations often may be inspected more than once a year. This is particularly true where the operations are somewhat complex and the whole unit cannot be seen during one visit. Usually, one inspector at a time will visit a unit, though occasionally it is appropriate for more than one to conduct the inspection. Inspectors are chosen by the certification body to inspect a unit based on their expertise and geographical proximity to the site. Operators, however, can refuse an inspector when they feel the inspector for one reason or another may not be objective. Then, too, the inspector may refuse to do a job, perhaps due to some conflict of interest. [Pg.53]

Inspections can be facilitated by proper preparation on the part of the operator. Tables 3.4 and 3.5 list the information and records required at the inspection. It is useful for the operator to be well-organised and thus contribute to a smooth running and trouble-free inspection. [Pg.53]

Application to the national control body. To import the product in question, the importer must make an application to their national control body (in the UK, the application form OB6 must be completed and sent to UKROFS). This application, one of which must be made for each product from each country, must include the following ... [Pg.58]

Let us also make an application of the chemical grip to polar covalent solids. This corresponds to beginning in the limit of unit polarity, V [V + = I,... [Pg.465]

Gases which obey Mariotte s Law. Absolute temperature.— Before applying the principle of the equivalence of heat and work to the various problems of chemical calorimetry, we shall make an application which we shall employ in what follows. [Pg.27]

At the time of writing, the fees indicated in the following paragraphs are correct however, they are subject to change on an annual basis cind are provided here for general guidance. Before making an application, the fee should be checked with the fees section of the IMB. [Pg.220]

It shall be used at attached document when the manufacturers make an application on product permission for a drug manufacturing in accordance with article 26 of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law. [Pg.482]

Another property combination offered by polycarbonate is transparency with inherent, nonhalogenated flame retardancy. There are many applications where it is desirable to be able to see electrical connections, or where transparency helps make an application less obtrusive, such as telephone connector jacks. Still other applications exist where it is beneficial to have a window in an enclosure to be able to observe what is happening inside a device. Especially in applications... [Pg.364]

However, to avoid circular reasoning, before making an application to a given structure, one needs an independent set of parameters for each type of bond in the structure. This in turn requires examination of a large set of good structures containing these bonds, and for which the atomic valences are unambiguous. [Pg.187]

A simulation service for the steel industry laid out as a web application will be presented here. The software architecture and the concepts behind that program may serve as an example for other industrial applications accessible for a broader clientele. Making an application available through the internet moves the focus of the users from in-house specialists to clients and also opens a door to a world of plenty inter-connectability, cooperation with other tools and even e-business to name but a few. [Pg.887]

Operators of the potentially most polluting processes ( prescribed processes which are specified in the amended Environmental Protection (Prescribed Processes and Substances) Regulations 1991/472) have to apply for prior authorization from the Environment Agency to operate the process. IPC requires operators to consider the total impact of all releases to air, water and land when making an application. [Pg.371]

There is no eentralized appheation process for postgraduate courses. You will need to apply to each university separately. Each institution produces its own application form, list of required documents and elosing dates, so you will need to research these carefully for each institution you make an application to. Applications typically consist of some or all of the following ... [Pg.118]

After these conceptual design efforts, basic design and validation tests are required before making an application for IMR licensing. Specific construction plans for the IMR have not yet been fixed. [Pg.225]
