Lupeol linoleate

Lupeol linoleate (=Lupeol -9, cis-12-octadecadienoic acid acid ester) (lupane triterpene FA ester) Semi-synthetic from Lupeol CHY (> 50 pM), TRY (10 pM) [7 pM] [106]... [Pg.587]

Lupeol linoleate (= Lupeol -9,ct.v-1 2-octadecadienoic acid acid ester)]... [Pg.588]

The hydrophobic triterpenoids a-amyrin and lupeol (both having a 3-hydroxy as the only polar group) and their palmitate and linoleate esters are similarly potent and relatively selective inhibitors (IC50 = 4-9 pM). These triterpenoids are in vivo anti-inflammatory agents, and their relatively selective PICA inhibition activity suggests that PKA could be involved in the inflammatory process although the responsible mechanisms are not yet clear [90]. [Pg.859]

The detection of triterpenoid compounds in extracts from Bidens pilosa may rationalize the use of this plant in traditional Egyptian medicine in the treatment of wounds and against bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract [211,212]. The chloroform extract gave 3-amyrin. Fig. (29), phytosterin B and P-sitosterol glucoside, while the petroleum ether extract afforded P-am5Tin, Fig. (29), phytosterin B, lupeol. Fig. (30), lupeol acetate, linolic acid and linolenic acid. The antimicrobial test was carried out to indicate an evident activity. [Pg.487]

Sterols and triterpenes (P-amyrin, P-sitos-terol, lupeol, stigmasterol, viscin, hetulinic acid, oleanolic acid, and ursolic acid), ° fatty acids (oleic, linoleic, palmitic, and stearic acids),and an acyclic monoterpene glycoside (2,6-dimethylocta-2,7-diene-1,6-diol 4-0-apiosylglucoside) have recently been isolated from mistletoe. ... [Pg.449]
