Longitudinal stability

Investigate the specificity of putative markers with respect to other psychiatric disorders and the longitudinal stability of specific subfypes of anxiety disorders... [Pg.171]

Boutlis, C. S., Weinberg, J. B., Baker, J., Bockarie, M. J., Mgone, C. S., Cheng, Q., and Anstey, N. M. (2004). Nitric oxide production and nitric oxide synthase activity in malaria-exposed Papua New Guinean children and adults show longitudinal stability and no association with parasitemia. Infect. Immun. 72,6932-6938. [Pg.331]

Static Stability. An aircraft is statically stable if a small perturbation in its attitude causes a restoring aerodynamic moment that erases the perturbation. Typically, the aircraft center of gravity must be ahead of the center of pressure for longitudinal stability. The tails or canards help provide stability about the different axes. Rocket engines are said to be stable if the rate of generation of gases in the combustion chamber does not depend on pressure stronger than by a direct proportionality, such as a pressure exponent of 1. [Pg.11]

A-3.2. The longitudinal stability of a counterbalanced powered industrial truck depends on the vehicle s moment and the load s moment. In other words, if the mathematic product of the load moment (the distance from the front wheels, the approximate point at which the vehicle would tip forward) to the load s center of gravity times the load s weight is less than the vehicle s moment, the system Is balanced and will not tip forward. However, if the load s moment is greater than the vehicle s moment, the greater load-moment will force the truck to tip forward. [Pg.596]

The training of operators must include classroom interaction and the use of visual aids. Many of the various details of lift truck movement such as tipover, tip forward, counterbalance, stability triangle, lateral and longitudinal stability must be discussed. Trainees must know each model s specific details for operation. Couple this with the different kinds of lift trucks counterbalance, narrow-aisle, walkies, stock-chasers, etc., and it s obvious that there are many details involved in operating a powered industrial truck. [Pg.158]

Check slip areas for longitudinal and transverse cracks and sharp notches. Check tool Joints for wear, galls, nicks, washes, fins, fatigue cracks at root of threads, or other items that would affect the pressure holding capacity or stability of the Joint. [Pg.765]

The chemical shift variations, the linewidths and the longitudinal relaxation times are all in agreement in favor of two different adsorbed species, at high and low temperature, respectively. At high temperature the 1- and 2-butene molecules are more stabilized as 7r-complexes on the NaGeX zeolite surface, while the cyclic type adsorbed species is preferred at low temperature. [Pg.114]

REP, a rod of metal or alloy, referred to as a consumable electrode, is rotated at high speed about its longitudinal axis. Simultaneously, it is melted gradually at one of its ends by a heat source, such as an arc, a plasma, or an electron beam, etc. A thin film of the molten metal is detached from the rod end and ejected from the periphery of the rod by centrifugal force, forming spherical droplets. The atomization is conducted in an inert atmosphere, usually argon. Helium may be used to increase arc stability and convective cooling efficiency of droplets. [Pg.99]
