Linear cross-linked factor

The physical properties of polyurethanes are derived from their molecular stmcture and deterrnined by the choice of building blocks as weU as the supramolecular stmctures caused by atomic interaction between chains. The abiHty to crystalline, the flexibiHty of the chains, and spacing of polar groups are of considerable importance, especially in linear thermoplastic materials. In rigid cross-linked systems, eg, polyurethane foams, other factors such as density determine the final properties. [Pg.343]

C Linewidth (Hz), Nuclear Overhauser Enhancement Factor (p), and T- (s), for Linear PS and 1% Cross-Linked PS in Chloroform and Dimethylformamide. [Pg.509]

The master curves and shift factors of transient and dynamic linear viscoelastic responses are calculated for linear, semi-crystalline, and cross-linked polymers. The transition from a WLF dependence to an Arrhenius temperature dependence of the shift factor in the vicinity of Tg is predicted and is related to the temperature dependence of physical aging rate. [Pg.189]

The fact that the reaction rates in solid phase synthesis are not drastically reduced, compared to the homogeneous reactions, indicates that the diffusion of the reagent into the polymeric matrix is not a limiting factor for the method. This has been confirmed by Andreatta and Rinkll9) in kinetic studies on both cross-linked and linear polystyrenes. This means that the intrinsic problems of solid phase synthesis arise from deviations in the linear kinetic course in the final stages of reaction due to non-equivalence of functional groups. [Pg.140]
