Titrimetric determination The mannitol or glycerol acid-base titration procedure is applied to the dissolved sodium carbonate melt for the determination of milligram amounts of B2O3. Most water wells located in areas where the water contained much hardness and metals such as iron, lead, manganese, copper, etc. are treated with agents that are phosphate fibers or glasses for the protection of the plumbing, people, and animals using this water. Is this the type of product about which there should be reason to question its safety Where is the probable cause that these products are harmful No one has questioned fibers of insoluble sodium metaphosphate used in toothpaste and cheese. It would be a waste of effort because there is no probable cause. I accepted phosphate fibers as safe because in more than one hundred years there has been no probable cause that they are not safe.
