A final consideration in selecting a mixture of power generation or direct drive prime movers is exhaust ductwork. If a platform is surrounded by gas-combustion turbine drivers exhausting vertically, hot gases may create hazards at some wind conditions. Ductwork may need to be run Irom the exhaust to platform edge this should be minimized to assist area classification, helicopter landing patterns, and expense.

Some components provide unconnected, unused, or guard terminals/leads adjacent to the input terminals. Care must be exercised for the balance or trim terminals/leads, as in most cases these terminals are connected (internally) in the component directly into the input differential amplifier circuitry of the component thus, any undesirable leakage currents or voltages to these terminals/leads may result in undesired operation. Some linear operational amplifiers (op-amps) and other hnear components are more suitable for input guarding than others some have two (or more) unused terminals/leads that are used to improve electrical isolation between the protected terminals/leads in the component itseU as well as the component land pattern and electrical interconnection snbstrate.

Ag, Pb, and Cu Fiims. Evaporated Ag, Pb, andCu land patterns on ceramic substrates were tested in water-drop experiments under 10 volt bias as-evaporated, after being oxidized, "sulphized and exposed to HCI dilute solution to form metal chlorides. Five samples for each metal and surface condition were stressed. The reaction surface layers were < 50 nm thick and rather spotty (discontinuous) as determined by electron microprobe. The oxide and sulphide layers either halted migration or reduced its occurrence dramatically. It was obvious that dendrites, whenever they occurred, were associated with incomplete passivation and, in general, the surface treatment was very effective. 

The 3D geometries of the electronic components are stored in a device library. Pin mapping, land patterns, and electronic (e.g., functionality), mechanical (rigidity, elasticity, etc.), and thermal properties (heat conductivity, etc.) are all included in the dataset. The components can be read from the library on the basis of the netlist from the ECAD tool Eagle. The components can be positioned on the three-dimensional interconnect device freely on analytically describable surfaces, and keepout areas (e.g., dummies for holes to be drilled) can be defined in advance.
