The Enrolment Terminal (cf. Figure 12) uses the NASK Iris Module and BioBase Access Module. A separate application is developed that uses common elements of NASK biometrics modules, namely, the device library to control the hardware, and the algorithms library to process iris images and calculate iris features vectors. 

The 3D geometries of the electronic components are stored in a device library. Pin mapping, land patterns, and electronic (e.g., functionality), mechanical (rigidity, elasticity, etc.), and thermal properties (heat conductivity, etc.) are all included in the dataset. The components can be read from the library on the basis of the netlist from the ECAD tool Eagle. The components can be positioned on the three-dimensional interconnect device freely on analytically describable surfaces, and keepout areas (e.g., dummies for holes to be drilled) can be defined in advance. 

Unlike MIDCAD, NEXTRA can directly integrate the EDA tools from Cadence, Mentor Graphics, and Zuken. Imported directly into NEXTRA , the circuits can be placed on a three-dimensional interconnect device and routed. There are also device libraries containing electronic components as 3D geometries to make the user s job easier. Mapping between NEXTRA and the EDA program ensures consistency across component libraries for both sides. Import and export filters for native...

For these reasons, when the pyrolysis of samples from works of art is undertaken for the first time, as well as when a new device or a new instrumental set-up is introduced in a laboratory, it is very important to build one s own libraries of chromatographic profiles, based on the analysis of reference materials. 

A remaining crucial technological milestone to pass for an implanted device remains the stability of the biocatalytic fuel cell, which should be expressed in months or years rather than days or weeks. Recent reports on the use of BOD biocatalytic electrodes in serum have, for example, highlighted instabilities associated with the presence of 02, urate or metal ions [99, 100], and enzyme deactivation in its oxidized state [101]. Strategies to be considered include the use of new biocatalysts with improved thermal properties, or stability towards interferences and inhibitors, the use of nanostructured electrode surfaces and chemical coupling of films to such surfaces, to improve film stability, and the design of redox mediator libraries tailored towards both mediation and immobilization. 

The complex itself may contain all the ingredients to act as an electroactive SMM if the inorganic moiety is selected in the SMMs library [39]. The complex is an isolated unit which might be directly employed as a molecular component in spintronic and/or electronic devices. 

Of the explosive devices that actually exploded at Columbine High School, thirteen were placed outside of the school building, five were situated in the library, six exploded in hallways and classrooms, and six went off in the cafeteria. More recently, NIST researchers [13, 19] developed a device to more precisely generate surface energy libraries using OV-ozonolysis. Pictured in Fig. 5, this device achieves graded UV-ozonolysis through a computer-driven translation stage.
