Lamivudine oral solution

Nguyen NAT, Wells ML, Cooper DC. Identification of factors affecting preservative efficacy and chemical stability of lamivudine oral solution through statistical experimental design. Drug Dev Ind Pharm 1995 21 1671-1682. [Pg.258]

Drugs that should not be combined due to overlapping toxi-cities include amprenavir oral solution plus ritonavir oral solution, atazanavir plus indinavir (due to enhanced hyperbilirubinemia), and any combination of didanosine, stavudine, and zalcitabine. Emtricitabine and lamivudine should not be combined because of their similar chemical structures, and antagonism can result when lamivudine is combined with zalcitabine, or stavudine is combined with zidovudine. [Pg.1259]

Absorption/Distribution - Lamivudine is rapidly absorbed after oral administration. Absolute bioavailability as demonstrated in HIV-infected patients is 86% for the tablet and 87% for the oral solution. The solution and tablet may be used interchangeably. The apparent volume of distribution (Vd)... [Pg.1851]

Emtricitabine NRTT1 200 mg daily3 Oral solution should be refrigerated Headache, diarrhea, nausea, asthenia, skin hyperpigmentation Do not administer concurrent lamivudine. Avoid disulfram and metronidazole with oral solution... [Pg.1074]

Epivir oral solution is for oral administration. One milliliter (1 mL) of Epivir oral solution contains 10 mg lamivudine (10 mg/mL) in an aqueous solution and the inactive ingredients artificial strawberry and banana flavors, citric acid (anhydrous), methylparaben, propylene glycol, propylparaben, sodium citrate (dihydrate), and sucrose. [Pg.141]

Abacavir Tablets 300 mg. Oral solution 20 mg/mL. Tablets with abacavir 300 mg, zidovudine 300 mg and lamivudine 150 mg. [Pg.479]

A 35-year old Caucasian man with AIDS and multiple opportunistic infections, including Mycobacterium kansasii and Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) disease developed moderate to severe primary sensorineural hearing loss after 4—5 months of therapy with oral azithromycin 500 mg/day. Other medications included ethambutol, isoniazid, rifabutin, ciprofloxacin, co-trimoxazole, fluconazole, zidovudine (later switched to stavudine), lamivudine, indinavir, methadone, mod-ified-release oral morphine, pseudoephedrine, diphenhydramine, megestrol acetate, trazodone, sorbitol, salbutamol by metered-dose inhaler and nebulizer, ipratropium, and oral morphine solution as needed. Significant improvement of the hearing impairment was documented 3 weeks after drug withdrawal. [Pg.390]
