Jerky

In addition to initial conditions, solutions to the Schrodinger equation must obey eertain other eonstraints in form. They must be eontinuous funetions of all of their spatial eoordinates and must be single valued these properties allow T T to be interpreted as a probability density (i.e., the probability of finding a partiele at some position ean not be multivalued nor ean it be jerky or diseontinuous). The derivative of the wavefunetion must also be eontinuous exeept at points where the potential funetion undergoes an infinite jump (e.g., at the wall of an infinitely high and steep potential barrier). This eondition relates to the faet that the momentum must be eontinuous exeept at infinitely steep potential barriers where the momentum undergoes a sudden reversal.

Perikinetic motion of small particles (known as colloids ) in a liquid is easily observed under the optical microscope or in a shaft of sunlight through a dusty room - the particles moving in a somewhat jerky and chaotic manner known as the random walk caused by particle bombardment by the fluid molecules reflecting their thermal energy. McCarron s paper (this volume) describes the behaviors of 1,000 adults admitted to an inpatient service with acute symptoms of PCP intoxication. Tardive dyskinesia A chronic disorder of the nervous system characterized by involuntary jerky or writhing movements of the face, tongue, jaws, trunk, and limbs, usually developing as a late side effect of prolonged treatment with antipsychotic drugs. 

Peak resolution is enhanced by use of a slower scan rate because the lines of the voltammogram are shorter (i.e. the trace appears to be less jerky )... 

Huntington s chorea is a rare, dominantly inherited, progressive disease characterised by chorea (brief involuntary jerky muscle contractions) and dementia. The second complicating factor is interfacial turbulence (1, 12), very similar to the surface turbulence discussed above.
