Inter communication

One type of cellular mbber. Conventional sponge mbber has a porous structure, the cells being open and inter-communicating it shows very high absorption of water. 

Inter-communicating states. Two states j and k are said to communicate if k is accessible from j in a finite number of transitions, i.e., if there is an integer n such that pjk(n) > 0. We define njk to be the smallest integer n for which this is true. If j is accessible from k and k is accessible from j, then j and k are said to be inter-communicating. 

As indicated before, in Eq.(2-49), state S4 is accessible from S2 since P24(2) = p2 >0. In fact, S2 is also accessible from S4 since it may be shown that p42(2) = q2 >0. Thus, S2 and S4 are inter-communicating. It may also be shown that other states in Eq.(2-49) demonstrate the same behavior.

Let us consider further reasons of pol5rmer chains breaking at so small stresses, which can be on order lower than ftacture macroscopic stress (i.e., at h5rpothetical k = 0.1). The reasons were pointed for the first time in Refs. [1, 26]. Firstly, anharmonicity intensification in fracture center gives the effect, identical to mechanical overloading effect [26]. So, for PC ala 70, K- = 0.44, a. = O.IE. 700 MPa and fiien o = o a /K,a 23 MPa, that by order of magnitude corresponds to experimental value Oj. for PC, which is equal approximately to 50 MPa at T= 293 K [7]. 

Fault seals are known to have been ruptured by excessive differential pressures created by production operations, e.g. if the hydrocarbons of one block are produced while the next block is kept at original pressure. Uncontrolled cross flow and inter-reservoir communication may be the result.
