A key question for agricultural chemists is how the forces noted above are influencing strategies for finding new agrochemicals. For this discussion, we adopt a fairly stemdard division into four basic approaches.

Several other studies assess the indirect influence strategy (communication content) or formality (communication medium) on the buying firm s performance (Srinivasan et al. 1994 Walton and Marucheck 1997 D Amours et al. 1999 Krause et al. 2000).

Strategy tables and influence diagrams can also be important management methodologies for coherent as well as shared planning (53). Strategy tables hst alternative product concepts, design options, as well as technical and market alternatives. 

Influence diagrams can be used with the strategy tables to identify factors or variables that create uncertainty in assessing the value of various options. Issues can be quaUtatively prioritized in selecting the best path to generate value for the business.
