Industry group concept

Chemically related database searches can be used to estabhsh concepts and patentable ideas. For instance, searches have identified researchers using particular monomers in a potentially patentable latex formulation found precedents for a polymeric emulsifier summarized pubHcations of people being considered as consultants, expert witnesses, employees or speakers to an industrial group and provided market description information for a new pigment manufacturing firm to identify target markets.

If the various associations, universities, or other areas in which networks traditionally have been formed are not available, safety and loss prevention professionals may consider forming industrial groups, on a formal or informal basis, of other safety and loss prevention professionals working within the area. For example, the safety and loss prevention professionals at a local industrial park meet for lunch one day a month to discuss the various aspects of their job. This informal group provides a local support mechanism for assistance and a sounding board for new ideas and concepts. 

The considerations above resulted in the design of the ACACIA (Advanced Atomic Cogenerator for Industrial Applications) concept, a 60 MW(th), 23 MW(e) (maximum) nuclear plant design with an indirect Brayton cycle [XIX-3, XIX-4]. The principal stakeholder for ACACIA is Nuclear Research and consultancy Group (NRG), the Netherlands. 

We did not want to just improve safety-related programs but we wanted to find new and creative approaches to improve the overall process of a safety system. After a healthy debate on methods, experiences, and concepts, collaboration began on a number of different projects to bring a consistent approach to developing and presenting our ideas and concepts to various industry groups. 

Some industrial applications involve the concept outlined here. The basic idea is to test whether or not a group of obseiwations follows a preconceived distribution. In the case cited, the distribution is uniform i.e., each face value should tend to occur with the same frequency. 

Later on, this concept was extended to precursors containing both elements of the desired material already connected by a chemical bond in a single molecule. Such precursors are mainly referred to as single source precursors. Their potential application for the deposition of thin films of the corresponding binary materials by MOCVD processes could be demonstrated. In particular Lewis acid-base adducts R3M—ER3 and four- and six-membered heterocycles [R2MER x (Fig- 1) have been in the focus of research groups both in industry and university. Consequently, the development of powerful synthetic pathways for the preparation of such precursors has been forced.
