Inductive mold temperature control

The inductive mold temperature control can be externally or internally applied. The external method is particularly suitable for mass production of micro components. The internal method enables temperature control in large-scale, three-dimensional geometries. [Pg.424]

Inductive heating is thus another possibility of temperature control in injection molds. It can always be considered for special requirements or when conventional options are not available or only in combination with significant increases in cycle time, such as in the variothermal process, which is frequently used for the manufacturing of micro components or microstructures. [Pg.439]

In the (lynamic mold surface temperature control operation process, the mold was preheated to 85 C, and then the mold was opened so the induction coil conld move into the mold. Induction heating was turned on. When mold center reached the taiget temperature of 155 C (measured temperature distributions are shown in figure 7), induction heating was turned off, and the induction coil was moved out of the mold.
