Human-readable text

This file may be a part of the scattering pattern file or a file of its own. For the sake of easy viewing the monitor data are, in general, human-readable text ( ASCII—header or ASCII —file ). 

The publishing content is specified using the Dublin Core and PRISM specifications. ASN.l is a binary format. NCBI utilizes a textual description of ASN.l that is both computer and human readable (to some extent), but that is not a standard type of ASN.l data format. This means ASN.l parsing libraries other than NCBTs may be unable to read it. The PubChem ASN.l text format does provide a relatively facile means for users to find pertinent information stored in the archive format by simple inspection. 

Once you choose your resume paper, select an ink color. Avoid wild colors and mixing multiple colors. Black ink is the most popular and most traditional color. If you choose to print your resume using an alternate color ink, make sure your selection is professional looking. Brown or burgundy are good alternatives. Make sure the ink color and the paper you choose don t clash. Also, make sure the text is easily readable both to the human eye and to computer scanners. If faxing your resume to employers, your paper and ink color selections should be white paper with black ink. If your resume is difficult to read, people won t read it. 

The text of the file should be readable by computer, humans, and telecommunication systems alike. Therefore, only ASCII characters are allowed. 

An important aspect of HTML is that it is readable by humans as well as machines. Given an HTML document, a human reader can make reasonable sense of it. A computer can take the same source and display it in a way suited to whatever output device is available. The outcome of this requirement was that HTML is based on plain text. A mechanism for describing the structure of plain text documents already existed in the ISO standard (ISO standard 8879 1986) for SGML. SGML was widely accepted by the Hypertext research community as an appropriate platform for the description of hyperlinked documents. 

Because the connection tables are essentially two-dimensional, and do not contain special bond types, many chemical properties such as stereochemistry cannot be represented. The solution to this and similar problems was the inclusion of machine-readable qualifier fields for each structure to indicate such things as stereo information, polymers, mixtures, and coordination complexes. Each qualifier has also non-searchable free text stored with it to aid human interpretation of the picture.
