Hoist, and auxiliary equipment

A portion of a typical mine site power distribution system is shown in Figure 3. This example shows the application of a diesel generator on an emergency power distribution system bus that includes a drum-type auxiliary hoist and other equipment that is also used for emergency egress, air compressors for underground supply air, and resistive load bank used to absorb excess regenerative power from the hoist, if necessary.

All other equipment not belonging to the drive system are referred as the auxiliaries. The auxiliaries are equipment such as auxiliary transformer, switchgear (medium and low voltage), bearing lubrication, brake hydraulic station, control equipment (controllers, driver s desk, PLCs and screens) and shaft equipment (two level boxes) and the auxiliary cables. The auxiliary total power used in this example is 19 kW and no differences have been made between the two hoisting systems. 

This system can be used as management and maintenance of auxiliary analysis tools of hoist machine for the staff, so as to curb major accidents and prolong the service life of equipment, and ensure the normal production. The purpose of its main features includes real-time online monitoring and human-computer interaction. (Qiao et al. 2010). 

Auxiliary systems which exist in the HCF include material handling equipment (cranes hoists, transporters, etc.), low pressure nitrogen, compressed air, hydraulic systems, process waste water collection system, rainwater collection drains, communications systems, and oxygen monitors. Additionally, HCF activities are supported by operations in B6595, B6596, and B6597. 

The gain in potential energy of the payload when hoisted from a lower level to a higher is useful energy. Mechanical losses and losses in the electrical equipment including auxiliaries...
