High voltage amplifier

Power stage with high voltage amplifiers. [Pg.295]

The insertion of an RC circuit in the feedback electronics right before the high-voltage amplifier for the z piezo has some other advantages. First, much of the high-frequency noise is efficiently filtered out. Second, it facilitates the realization of the electronics for spectroscopic study, which we will discuss in the following section. [Pg.266]

Fig. 14.1. Electronics for local tunneling spectroscopy. By using an op-amp with FET input stage as the isolation amplifier to the high-voltage amplifier for the z piezo, the holding time on the capacitor can be as long as 100 sec. The values of R and C show typical ranges. Fig. 14.1. Electronics for local tunneling spectroscopy. The AC field was generated with a sine wave fed into a high-voltage amplifier (0 10 kV) [25], The frequency and the applied voltage were 5 Hz and 4 kV, respectively. [Pg.12]

Figure 9.6 Experimental setup for measuring the angular distribution of the scattered light at different temperatures and externally applied electric fields. L is a He-Ne-laser, A/2 a half-wave retarder plate, P a Glan-Thomson prism, BS a beam splitter, PDl and PD2 are photodiodes and HV the high voltage amplifier. The sbn sample with 0.66 mol% Cerium is placed on a stack of Peltier-elements to control the temperature. The measuring circuit consists of a bias voltage supply ff, a pair of macroscopic electrodes, which make up the quantum contact under examination, and a serial resistor Pp of 1000 Q as illustrated in Fig. 1. The voltage drop Vp on the resistor Rp is a function of the measured conductance G ,. The piezoelectric device is used to control the backward and forward movement of the macroscopic contacts, between which the nanowires occur. A high voltage amplifier, controlled by a digital... [Pg.231]

A high-voltage amplifier (Trek-lO/lOB) and a function generator were used to supply sinusoidal driving voltages of various frequencies. [Pg.191]

The electronics of the STM must have low-noise high voltage amplifiers to drive the tip motions, and a sensitive low-noise amplifier chain for the tunneling current. These analogue signals are converted from and to digital signals for computer control. In both the scanner systems described above, the scan is not exactly planar. [Pg.335]

The < 33 strain constant may be determined on bulk samples through converse piezoelectric measurements. As noted earlier, the strain constant is expressed in units of mA that are equivalent to C/N. Converse piezoelectric measurements are more experimentally difficult compared with the direct measurements, but provide greater accuracy. The converse measurements use an optical technique in order to measure the small strains in the sample caused by the application of a voltage. The experimental system is composed of a high voltage amplifier and interface as well as an optical... [Pg.23]

Al-Aj increases, as long as Al stays within the transmission range between Aj and A2. This signal is fed to a lock-in amplifier, where it is rectified, passes a PID control (Fig. 5.46) and a High-Voltage Amplifier (HVA). The output of the HVA is connected with the piezo element of the laser mirror, which moves the resonator mirror Ml until the laser wavelength A is brought back to the reference value Ap. ... [Pg.282]

The channel location of 1.2 MeV is dependent on the photomultiplier high voltage, amplifier gain, and base-line setting. One or more of these can be varied to fix the 1.2-MeV point in about channel 50. This leaves some 200 channels to display the fission spectrum of interest. With a little more effort, the 1.2-MeV point can be located in channel zero, but no real advantage occurs. [Pg.282]
