High sensitivity interface

Present research is devoted to investigation of application of luminol reactions in heterogeneous systems. Systems of rapid consecutive reactions usable for the determination of biologically active, toxic anions have been studied. Anions were quantitatively converted into chemiluminescing solid or gaseous products detectable on solid / liquid or gas / liquid interface. Methodology developed made it possible to combine concentration of microcomponents with chemiluminescence detection and to achieve high sensitivity of determination. 

For modern analysis, high sensitivity and selectivity of methods for the determination of these elements are important parameters. Catalymetric methods of analysis possess such characteristics. Using of heterogeneous catalytic reactions on the interface also penults to reduce determination time. 

Later it was found that the polluting lubricant droplets originating from the transport belts used in the production they had fallen into the paint bath and prevented adhesion of the paint to the metal. It can be concluded that the high sensitivity of SSIMS in the detection of submonolayer coverage of organic species makes it an extremely powerful tool for solving such interface problems. 

Ellipsometry is a method of measuring the film thickness, refractive index, and extinction coefficient of single films, layer stacks, and substrate materials with very high sensitivity. Rough surfaces, interfaces, material gradients and mixtures of different materials can be analyzed. 

The sensitivity of the interface is compound-dependent but generally high sensitivity is possible by using one of the ionization methods available (thermospray, filament and discharge). 

ToFs can also be used in combination with other mass analysers. Both hybrid sector and quadrupole systems are available. oaToF-MS has been interfaced to a quadrupole mass filter and hexapole gas collision cell, such as to allow recording of mass spectra and product ion spectra with good mass resolution (ca. 10000), high sensitivity, high mass range (ca. 10 000 Da) and high mass accuracy (<5ppm) [177,178]. Electron Transfer Type of Dehydrogenase Sensors To fabricate an enzyme sensor for fructose, we found that a molecular interface of polypyrrole was not sufficient to realize high sensitivity and stability. We thus incorporated mediators (ferricyanide and ferrocene) in the enzyme-interface for the effective and the most sensitive detection of fructose in two different ways (l) two step method first, a monolayer FDH was electrochemically adsorbed on the electrode surface by electrostatic interaction, then entrapment of mediator and electro-polymerization of pyrrole in thin membrane was simultaneously performed in a separate solution containing mediator and pyrrole, (2) one-step method co-immobilization of mediator and enzyme and polymerization of pyrrole was simultaneously done in a solution containing enzyme enzyme, mediator and pyrrole as illustrated in Fig.22.
