The pentaammineosmium(II) metal center also binds in a dihapto fashion to several other classes of aromatic molecules, including benzenes, naphthalenes, phenols, anisoles, anilines, furans, and thiophenes, activating them toward further functionalization. Discussion. Our findings of an increase in serum copper concentrations with age are in agreement with two previously reported studies, one by Harman et al. (139,140) and the other by Herring et al. (95). Harman demonstrated a linear increase with age with a mean serum concentration of 124 /xg/100 mL at age 20 years and 145 /xg/100 mL at age 60. Herring reported a positive correlation in subjects at age 10-50 years with few subjects over 40 years.

Although man metabolizes the drag to indometbacin glucuronide (Harman et al., 1964), ho appears to excrete this conji ate mainly in the urine, for Hueker et al. (1966) found only 15% of a dose of indometbacin in the bile. However, this last result was obtained from only one subject with a biliary fistula and, therefore, may not be truly representative of the extent of biliary excretion of the drug in man.
