If the requirements of Section 1038 of the Act are fuUy implemented, it is estimated that 70 million tires would be required on an annual basis. If states found reason to exceed the law s minimum use of scrap tire-derived ground mbber in asphalt paving and use more on federal aid constmction, or if local, county, and state governments and private parties started using mbber-modified asphalt in nonfederal aid constmction, the totals could go much higher. 

Comprehensive legislation governs the use of pesticides in the UK. These controls are set out and implemented through Part III of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 (FEPA) and The Control of Pesticide Regulations 1986 (CO PR). 

Much information pertinent to the above questions may already be available in the published literature, in the files of Government or Industry, in research reports of local universities, or in the knowledge of local citizens. A carefully planned effort should accumulate relevant information that is available. Usually, a fixed period of time should be allowed for the collection and analysis of this information. Then the design and implementation of the field measurements portion of the exploratory study should be undertaken. 

The RCRA statute additionally grants U.S. EPA broad enforcement authority to require all hazardous waste management facilities to comply with the regulations. The program also contains provisions that allow U.S. EPA to authorize state governments to implement and enforce... 

Develop and implement a publicly available database for reactive hazard test information. Structure the system to encourage submission of data by individual companies and academic and government institutions that perform chemical testing. 

Develop and implement a program for reporting reactive incidents that includes the sharing of relevant safety knowledge and lessons learned with your membership, the public, and government to improve safety system performance and prevent future incidents.
