Reasoning goal-driven

Backward chaining is the opposite of forward chaining. It is goal-driven reasoning. In backward chaining, the rule-based expert system has a goal (a hypothetical solution) and the inference technique needs to find evidence to prove it. The steps involved in backward chaining are described as follows. 

As the reasoning of a human expert is goal-oriented and driven by the external situations, so the organization and the correct instantiation of the production rules inside a Knowledge Base depend on the system goal and on the external constraints. 

Reason does not determine behavior it only rationalizes behavior directed toward achieving emotionally driven goals. Someday, the phenotypic expression of genes encoding aggressive and violent behavior may become less prevalent, supplanted by phenotypic expression of genes encoding altruism. 

One of the main goals of the GDL is the transport of gaseous species. From an experimental point of view the determination of the gas permeability (pressure-driven flow) is easier than the determination of the diffusion (driving force concentration difference) of gases. This might be the reason that, in the literature, values for the permeability for GDL material can be found much more often than diffusion coefficients or structural parameters of the materials necessary for the determination of the effective diffusion coefficient. Especially when looking in the specification for GDLs provided by manufacturers, one will find values for gas permeation but no data relevant for gas diffusion. 

The extensive use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the semiconductor industry has been driven traditionally from the desire to protect the fab employee from the numerous chemical and physical agents in the fab environment. Motivation, in the broadest sense, is self-motivation, complex, and either need- or value-driven. Someone once stated that he believed hope was the secret ingredient to a person being motivated (the hope to accomplish a goal, a dream, or attain a need) there is reason to support this theory. However, possibly a better definition is motivation presnmes valuing, and values are learned behaviors thus, motivation, at least in part, is learned and can be tanght (Frymier, 1985). This definition provides us with the encouragement we need to go forward and achieve motivation for onrselves and others. 

When looking at a supply chain, each process and project inside it seems to be demand-driven. This means that all supply chain members should share a focus on end customers in order to achieve the best customer service, and consequently customer loyally and profitability (see Proposition no. 4). For this reason, supply chain risk assessment should be linked to specific objectives of the supply ch such as service quality, timeliness, flexibility and efficiency (see Proposition no. 1). Risks can be considered as a threat or obstacle to achieving the supply chain goal. Risk evaluators should prioritize objectives, assessing the impact of potentially negative events and cause-effect relationships along the supply chain.
