Gasket refrigerator

The rubbers are also used for such diverse applications as blood transfusion tubing capable of sterilisation, antibiotic container closures, electric iron gaskets, domestic refrigerators and non-adhesive rubber-covered rollers for handling such materials as confectionery and adhesive tape. The cold-curing rubbers are of value in potting and encapsulation. 

Many materials are suitable for refrigerant purposes, and each usually has some special characteristics that allow it to serve a particular application better than some of the others. Before selecting a refrigerant, it is important to evaluate its flammability and toxicity data, pressure-temperature-volume relationships, enthalpy, density, molecular weight, boiling and freezing points, and various effects on gaskets, metals, oils, etc. ... 

Flanges for ammonia (and preferably, also, for other refrigerants) must be of the tongued-and-grooved type which trap the gasket. 

We use profile extrusion to make continuous products that have fixed cross-sectional dimensions, such as pipes, house siding, refrigerator door gaskets, and vindshield wiper blades. During profile extrusion the molten output from an extruder is pumped to a die where it is formed to approximately the desired cross-sectional profile. As the molten polymer leaves the die, we apply the final forming step and simultaneously cool it to yield the product in its solid state. 

Barium ferrite powder is also incorporated in rubber or polymer matrices to make, for instance, the familiar magnetic gaskets used to latch refrigerator doors. Use General-purpose antioxidant for nonstaining and nondiscoloring for rubber and latex in foam sponge, tire carcasses, refrigerator gaskets, footwear, proofing, wire insulation, and sundries.
