Furoate Cream

Charge item 2 to a suitable vessel, add item 1, and mix for 25 minutes to dissolve completely. 

Add item 3 slowly to step 1 and mix for 15 minutes to disperse evenly. 

In a separate vessel, dissolve item 4 in a suitable quantity of item 6 and add to step above and mix for 10 minutes. Circulate cold water in the jacket to aid in gel formation. 

Monobenzone is the monobenzyl ether of hydroquinone. Chemically, monobenzone is designated as p-(benzy-loxyjphenol the empirical formula is C13H1202, molecular weight 200.24. Each gram of benoquin cream contains 

Check and adjust the pH to 4.5 0.2 with 10% w/v phosphoric acid solution. Mix the batch for at least 2 hours for pH adjustment and check the final pH.

Momethasone furoate has been launched in the US (as an ointment and a cream) for once-daily use in the treatment of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses and as a lotion for the scalp. It has also been launched in many countries for the control and management of persistent asthma in patients aged >12 years.

Twenty five patients considered to have been completely or almost completely healed after the AP entered the MP. By the end of tiie 52-week MP, 10 patienfs (40%) experienced a relapse five in the vitamin E group (56%) and five in the cold cream group (62%), while no patient in the mometasone furoate 0.1% ointment group had a relapse. The occurrence of VLS relapse for patienfs in fherapy with both vitamin E and cold cream was significantly higher than for those in proactive therapy with topical corticosteroid. The median time to relapse was the same (21.6weeks) for the vitamin E and the emollient groups.
