Funding programs

What was not anticipated was that m 1998 Celera Genomics of Rockville Mary land would undertake its own privately funded program toward the same goal By 2000 the two groups agreed to some coordination of their efforts and published draft sequences in 2001 with final versions expected m 2003... 

A similar overview of German activities in 1998 is provided in [65]. The German working party on micro-reaction technology is presented, a federal funding program is introduced, and three top-priority research projects are presented. They show the activities at the edge of acceptance by industry. 

From the catalyst metal and catalyst support studies PNNL settled on a preferred catalyst composition. We joined UOP in a DOE funded program to commercialize the process. A simplified process flow diagram is shown in Figure 34.9. 

Chronological Age. Because of this wide variation within the elderly population, it is difficult to devise a catch-all age one must attain to be considered elderly. Within the government, there also appears to be a problem of consistently defining this age group. Table 2, which lists a variety of federally funded programs and their corresponding age criteria, illustrates this point quite well. Table 3 lists what seems to be one of the better classification systems that has been devised [5], As well as being the system currently used by the U.S. Bureau of the Census, it is often implemented in studies that specifically deal with elderly populations [6,7].

The Analytical Laboratories consist of twenty-two chemists in a variety of research activities including several Federally funded programs potentially answerable to GLP s. To assess the impending procedural and fiscal impact of GLP adherence on the Laboratories programs, a review of all phases was conducted at our request by EPA to establish the current level of compliance. A detailed response is presented, addressing both those tenets which may be met by procedural adjustment, and those mandates, particularly with regard to facilities and personnel, that resources and/or university policy will not permit meeting. Alternatives are discussed.

Second, the United States should devise and fund programs intended to generate information from primary sources (as opposed to secondary news sources) about the weapons complexes to fill in some of the gaps in the current understanding of the knowledge-diversion problem.
