Fundamentals of Engineering exam

The FE exam contains 180 multiple-choice questions and is split into a morning session (120 questions) and an afternoon session (60 questions), each lasts four hours, with a one-hour lunch break in between. 

The morning session is the same for everyone. For the afternoon session, you will be asked during registration to select the module (options are listed below) that best corresponds to your undergraduate degree

To prepare students for the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (that is becoming more important for the outcome-based ABET 2000 criteria) and to facilitate multiple-choice tests, about 250 multiple-choice problems are included in the end-of-chapter problem sets. See a lot of this stuff I think that it s left up to us to find or to figure out. I think as a whole the teachers just teach their class. Rummaging ihroogh the attic, I happened upon my old college textbooks. Much to my dismay, these treasured volumes, elucidating the principles of mass transfer, fluid flow, and differential calculus, seemed slightly incomprehensible and rather irrelevant. After 15 years of applying the fundamentals of chemical engineering in a dozen refineries, I still did not feel ready for that final exam in advanced thermodynamics. 

Oral examinations take an active approach to assessment of student learning. They provide insight into how students understand and relate concepts. Furthermore, practicing engineers are faced daily with the realtime need to apply rational arguments based on fundamental concepts. By using oral exams, it is possible to assess a student s ability to construct sound conceptual arguments.
