Final Exam

In almost every high school or college class, you can expect at least part, if not all, of your evaluation for the term to be based on your written work. In a college literature class, for example, 100% of your grade will probably be based on two out-of-class essays, an in-class midterm, and a final essay, which maybe a timed exam. In a political science class, your midterm and final exams might include multiple-choice, short answer, and essay questions. Your success in school depends heavily on your ability to write effectively, both in and out of the classroom. 

The first time you may have to refer to your notes or book. Make sure you understand and master the material that gave you trouble. Then work the problems again, but the second time try not to use your notes, and work them in a random order. Sometimes the context of the material gives you clues that may not be present on an excim, so you don t want to rely on them. Working problems in a random order is an especially powerful study habit when gearing up for the final exam. 

Like Rancho Santiago, many community colleges offer a course geared toward passing the CPAT. Students are able to assess their weaknesses and develop their skills with the tasks while improving their overall physical fitness. The final exam is passing the CPAT. 

Student grades in this course are based on written and oral reports. Each student presents two oral reports and turns in two written reports. Students are encouraged to work in groups and talk about the problems and solutions. The requirement that students present their results orally and individually provides each student with the incentive to understand the material. Student understanding is also evaluated through a two-hour final exam. The exam takes examples from the recent literature and requires students to interpret the results shown in the paper and provide a critique highlighting positive and/or negative aspects of the way that a computational method was applied to answer a chemical question.
