African oil palm nuts, which are less thick-shelled than most American palm nuts, are hand cracked to some extent but in Indonesia and Malaysia they are usually machine cracked. In one type of cracking machine, the nuts are fed to the center of a rotor equipped with curved baffles, along which the nuts are flung out against a heavy steel housing and broken by impact. Another type of machine resembles a hammer mill. The rotor consists of a frame supporting four heavy steel paddles the nuts are dropped into the path of the paddles and cracked by impact.

The DeNora cells [68,72] have cathode areas ranging from 4.5 to 36 m, operating at 10-11 kA m . These cells are covered with a flexible, multilayer sheet of an elastomer, which is supported by the anode rods. DSA anodes, with four stems per anode, are suspended in frames supported from the cells.

Other problem frames besides the commanded behavior frame are required behaviour, simple workpieces, information display, and transformation.

Where quick opening is less important than fatigue life, the internal thread closure can also be used with a continuous thread (see Figure 12.5a). Also, frame-supported end closures (Figure 12.8) can be operated quickly, although the manipulation of heavy parts is required (vessel or frame).
